I think It basically comes down to primitive thinking. Quoting larger numbers makes us feel better in some way. Continuing to use the old imperial measurement system shows they are ignorant and makes them feel special because they are throwing large numbers around. Proud patriotic Americans love to gloat and rattle off big figures like how many Iraqi’s they killed that day and how many ounces of drank they consumed. What sickens me is their ugly culture flooding into other nations and polluting societies. When will the world wake up and realise they are all bombing and devastating the wrong countries. They should all join forces and turn their guns on America and rid the world this cancer.
