just had the most interesting conversation and i need to write it down while its still fresh in my mind so i don't forget any details.

in the early years of STi (1999-2001) the complex was not much more than a converted aircraft hanger with partitioned bays for various small departments such as engine room, gearbox assembly and fitting bays. i have supplied my VIN number and as it turns out if the right questions are asked, I may even find out the name of the person who put my S201 together and any other relevant information, i can't wait to hear back.

STi also including FHI which used to build the planes in the same complex right next door. from all accounts the STi factory was a small group of young engineers and technicians that ran the shop but because of the immense size of subaru with so many departments which all work independent of each other it is very difficult to have a single person who can answer questions. i have found some very good information by translating various "engineers voice" blogs from the guys at STi which i will post later.

worthless trivia but i thought was just awesome, the "electra one" concept car which was the basis for the 201 was usually seen parked in the staff carpark suggesting to me that one of the engineers or vip's from sti used this car as their own private means of transport, very very cool!

i have been promised various photos of the complex and a photo of the above car and more details on the "s-series" and the moment they land in my lap, you guys will see them also.

i have often laughed and ridiculed the hsv or fpv jacketed enthusiasts with the "factory" tours but in this respect, i would of given my left nut to have seen this for STi.

the current STi factory is naturally much fancier and I have a friend who is visiting shortly and I can't wait to see what they come back with.

Awesome stuff Ramon very interested in any info
you get your hands on.

Any chance in the future we could organise a PWRX STi
factory tour like some of the guys from WRXIOC (< i think)
did when the new 08 STi came out?

Id be in for sure and could hopefully get some very informative
info/history about my 204 and the other "S" series builds.

Found some more S204 pics.

Here's 2 S204's and a RA-R at Fuji raceway.

The following S204's were all spotted in Singapore and KL.

*I couldn't get the build number but managed to find the vin/eng #'s
Chassis#GDB038787 Engine#EJ20C836070

This next one the guy who owns it apparently also owns a black one
and his dad is the owner of some major car yard in KL.

another random S204

Here's 3 pics of a WRC Blue 204 from an amateur photoshoot, love the pics!!!

I have a few more but will post up later

That looks like the dealership we were at the other year.

Those S204's, RA-R's etc in the 2nd hand lot are just left open for you to sit in
