100% you will need a new battery, will go down to a couple of days soon, just had to replace the battery in the wifes Bug, same thing happened

I'm guessing that getting a trickle charger would be a waste of time then? Car starts fine when its being used.

Only prolonging the inevitable imo, but a trickle charger should work for a while I guess.

Ours went recently. Assume it was the original and therefore about 4 years old. Didn't give any warning so the car got a trip to Osborne Park on a flatbed.

Mine's on 24/7 charge - perhaps I should replace it?

Yep, JME's right, a trickle charger will sort you out. I went away for 9 weeks and left the STi on trickle feed. Got back and it fired into life as if it where brand new.

Cheers
