This is what you need:

Battery float device available from JayCar MB-3602 $80.
CTek brand ones may be cheaper still that are used for Motorbikes, Jetskis etc.

Repco will have the CTEK XS800 on sale from the 23rd for 2 weeks for $89 with a bonus battery monitor thrown in, looks like a decent deal for those of us who park the car for weeks on end...

Battery world have the projector ones. I have the 1600ma ones and none of them have let me down yet. Mount on the wall out the way ( not much bigger than a cigarette packet )

Give them a ring and get them to order a motorbike harness for you to. You leave the harness connected to the battery and just plug and unplug the lead as need be ( No screwing round with bulldog clips )

If you or the mrs are like me make up a "On Charge" sign and slip it in over the instruments just in case you forget!!!

Also most places that sell batteries can o a battery check too if you take your car or the battery down. we do ( Beaurepaires), and it's free. We have some little doohickies that Centuary give us to test. They can test your charge, and if you have any leaks too.
