200kph crash - lucky to be alive
08 Jan, 2010 04:00 AM
Last Saturday night, police, ambulance and fire brigade attended a horrific accident that occurred on Two Rocks Road around 9.00pm.
An eyewitness told the Sun City News that the Subaru WRX passed them coming out of Two Rocks going like a bat-out-of-hell. Then less than a kilometre down the road the driver lost control, skidding across the road, became airborne and just missing a lamp post before coming to a halt. A female driver and three male passengers were all taken to Joondalup hospital with relatively minor injuries. Police said they were amazed that no one was killed or seriously injured.

Joondalup police told the Sun City News that they estimated the vehicle was travelling at 180 to 200kph and that drugs and alcohol were possibly involved in the accident.

The Sun City News understands the four in the car were seen in a disagreement at a fast food store in Two Rocks. Shortly afterwards the vehicle was seen speeding along Two Rocks Road.

The Sun City News also understands that police recovered a quantity of drugs and alcohol at the scene of the accident.

An eyewitness at the accident said: ‘I couldn’t believe the speed this car passed me at, then just around the corner I saw them airborne up the side of the sand dune.”

the picture of the car looks pretty messed up, got pretty lucky i say

So who was it I wonder? Looks like it rolled a few times but didnt actually hit anything really solid. Lucky to be alive indeed.

what a waste. i'm amazed at the amount of dipshits who buy a nice car only to drive it into a ditch or wrap it round a pole.
