i was just wondering if anyone can give me a rough estimate of how much a set of original GC8 gold rime should cost? they are 16's...not a scratch on them and i have no clue how much they are worth.

With or without tyres?
I assume they are the 5 spokes?
I have seen them go for $100 without tyres and around $150 with.
No different to the standard WRX rims of the era other than the colour.

they have tyres on them but they are fairly gone...so its just the rims! so around 100 per rim or 100 for all?

Considering 17s in top condition can go for 300-400 a set with rubbish tyres. 16s are really worth around $100 a set.

A set. That said, you might find someone that wants them and will pay $250 -$300. Anything higher than that and people start looking at 17s.
