As others have said you need a temp permit to drive the car into WA and maybe SA as the car is not in your name and insurance will not cover.

Has a XB MRT Kit so it has the following:

MY99-00 WRX MRT Power XB Kit $4490 , includes:

  • MRT Full S/S 3" Exhaust system
  • MRT Cold Air Intake + K&N Filter
  • MRT 500 hp Fuel pump
  • EcuTek Type 1.5
  • All labour
  • Custom fine tuning, with Dyno print-outs

FARK MRT charge like a wounded bull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one. Should be a great week for you!

I've done QLD to NSW South Coast a couple of times on bikes that I've purchased. The time on the motard was hell, like riding 1200km on a giant dildo. Had to stop every hour for a Bundy to numb the pain. Would do it again though!

Honestly, i would not be trusting a car i just purchased to get across the Nullarbor etc as if something was to go wrong it could cost vast $$$ not to mention your life...that drive is not something to be taken lightly

the cost of couriering a car from coast to coast is also (usually) cheaper than the costs of fuel and accomodation for you to drive the car over, without the risks of failures and injury

Yeh mate as others have said a car you just bought, let alone an earlier model wrx probably isnt the best car to drive across the nullabor in, it sounds good in theory but weigh up your odds. If you DID hit a roo and your car was undrivable. What would you do?
I think fighting RAC because they didnt detect your motor was about to detonate will hold up either.
Man just to many things that could go wrong... I'd hate to be stuck out in the middle of the nullabor with a fucked car.
