Quite sure that Cam had mentioned to me that STI's weren't coming with the sunroof

Could have asked me to confirm this
The day I picked up the MY11, I had a 32gb thumb drive filled up with music at the ready, works quite well actually.
Only down side is the time taken for it to start reading the contents of the thumb drive, 30 seconds or so.

Yeah when I asked the dealer sunroof wasn't an option. As expected info doesnt filter down too well. Dark grey and blue are promising.

So you use the Satnav to navigate through the folders etc? Or do you need to put all songs on the drive as a single playlist? Either way that is awesome that the new rex supports this!!

I don't have the satnav option.
There are a couple of buttons you use to navigate up and down through the folders on the usb device and another button to display folder name/track name.

The stereo is different to that of the 08/09/10 models, inbuilt bluetooth (with controls on the steering wheel), usb connection and I think they are now a single stacker instead of a 6 stacker.

Actually haven't thought about the playlist option, will give it a go quickly, back in 5

Edit: doesn't look like it supports playlists

Thanks for the photos, looks like you enjoyed the function before the cars were unvailed.

The function was good, lots of drinks and food, some channel ten guy MC'ing (from "Before the Game" show i think.) Cody and Dean driving the new cars on the skidpan with 2 lucky club members in the passenger seats. (which I have video of but not sure if I can upload to here). Should have taken some pics of me in the car so you could see the grin. Was a good night.

Yeah thanks, didn't think to ask you if u got sat nav or not. I will ask though if you can try plugging a 2.5" portable hard drive full of mp3's in to see if that works if you are able to please.

thanks

Done and failed!
Got a USB Check Device error, was holding the hard drive and could hear it spinning up and stopping continuously.

In theory you should be able to use one of those usb splitter cables that come with most usb hard drives and use the auxiliary 12v socket in the centre console to provide the power for the usb hard drive.

Edit: Found a cable to try, but I don't have a 12v to usb converter

The Spec R comes with Sunroof.

I went and had a look at the one at Vic Park and theirs has one.
