Default Nice...

I saw Soksta's WRX on Sat morninhg at the hoodie pickup.

This is a very impressive looking car!

Pics do not do this car justice.

Congrats on a lovely piece of Subi machinery..

Cheers,

Joe.

Saw 3 colours of the new STI sedan today, as my car was in for a service at Ozzie Park. Black, White and the Dark Grey. As many have said, they look heaps better in the flesh.

Dropped into City Subaru on the way home and noted the following:

1. Obsidian Black does not have enough sparkle in the paint and appears it would scratch very easily.

2. Although the metallic Dark Grey is not my cup of tea, it looks pretty damn good.

3. The STI wing on the WRX sedan or STI spoiler on the WRX hatch would be very worthy upgrades. Other than that (and maybe the undersized 17" rims) both the sedan and hatch in standard WRX form look fantastic. I favour the hatch myself.

4. Why the f@ck do car yards wash brand new cars with $2 sponges that simply push the dirt around the paint causing swirls and scratches? I watched the guy doing it and couldn't help but shake my head. Have seen this at 2 Subaru yards, a Mazda yard and even the Audi centre. WTF? A decent microfibre wash mit can be had for $20. Less if you were to buy in bulk.

Hmmm...I think there may be an upgrade to a White MY11 WRX Hatch in my future.

So i went in and had a look at the 3 STi sedan's at Osy Park this morning. Looked as though Cam was busy with some other guys so i chatted to another chap.

For the first time i actually liked the look of the sedan, in the white it looked fantastic. Apparently they have a White Spec R Auto with Recaro's available for delivery now, Hmm...
