Default Canary Chaos

Hi all,

Had a trawl through the site but cant seem to find any info on compliance sticker extensions, I've heard some stories of ppl running their cars with a sticker for months at a time. My rs has one atm and it has expired, has anyone been in this situation before? If so do you have any advice as to what I can do or expect?

If you drive it & get caught expect to lose it for a few weeks.

If the sticker has expired the vehicle is unregistered & you'll need a permit to move it anywhere.

You can get an extension but you have to run the car over the pits the first time to get it.

They'll extend it for a few weeks.

As Ross has stated, do not drive it anywhere with the expired sticker. If the rego is still current, the only place you can drive it without a permit is the most direct route to the nearest inspection centre.

I'm not sure where you've heard those stories from, but as Rossco said, you'll need to bring the car to the pits to get an extension.

I think they'll check for roadworthiness (like tyres and brakes as a minimum) before you can get an extension, and then again each time you want to extend the expiry date on the yellow sticker.

Ok guys, that sound pretty good. I read a couple of threads on a skyline forum a while back that spoke about it. I'll take the wags to o'connor pits on Tuesday and see how I go. Thanks again for the help guys!
