Didn't Mitsu Aust sell 9MR's locally? I know 8MR's had to be brought in, but I thought 9MR's and 10MR's were locally sold?

I'm pretty sure the 9MR's are only JAP spec ones and were never sold here for general road use.

Maybe I'm thinking Evo 8MR's and ADM Evo 9's are similar cars.. fair enough, carry on.

(PS: Get a subaru, evo's are for girls / blaise / those who can't drive)

Just get a JDM SPEC C and you'll save yourself a shitload of money compared to an RA-R/S204.

Actually just buy an R205.

9MR's were not brought in to be sold locally, i'm leaning towards the evo side, they seem like the better option atm

9MR didnt make it to australian shores, although I am not sure what improvements they had over the ADM IX anyway. You arent able to import the IXMR (other than personal import) as the IX was imported for the domestic market unlike the 8 which was low volume only. The 8MR was an 8.5 and had some of the innovations of the IX (bigger turbo, ali roof, trick cams) but the 9MR didnt have any of the updates of the X given they are a completely different platform so possibly only a few cosmetic tweaks.

Would be very hard to get your hands on a genuine IX MR in much the same way it is to get hold of an RA-R etc. The subie would be a more special rare car to own. But the evo would hand it its arse.

I believe there is only two 9MR's in Aus -

Steve Jones's which has been ripped apart into one almighty track car

And a white one which is in NSW under race rally rego.

9MR's were never bought to Australia, and as mentioned cannot be imported for normal daily day to day rego unless they are a private import.

I would take a 9MR over a S204.

Hard to say but having used both for motorsport an EMO is pretty hard to beat, loved my dak dak but for $$$ spent a EVO is quicker.
