Default Why you Should ALWAYS insure shipments

And I would underline & bold the word ALWAYS in the title if I could.

These arrived today:

Genuine SSR Professor SP1's 17" in 5x100. Only set ive ever seen in this PCD so I snapped them up, they came all the way from Poland to Sydney, all good. Then somehow pack & send manage this on the trip from Syd to Perth:

The damage could have been worse but im still fairly devestated... Was so excited to receive them.
Worst part is after talking to pack & send on the phone the shipment was not insured... they are going to see what they can do but im not holding my breath.

Moral of the story... ALWAYS GET INSURANCE ON YOUR SHIPMENTS!

that will be able to be rolled out fairly easily, go see alliance rim repairs, i understand its a hassle you don't need but can't see it costing more than $100 to fix as it won't need repainting etc

Mate, you have just answered the question I completely forgot to ask in the post!! I wanted to see if anyone knew good rim repairers. Agreed they can definatly be fixed, but dissapointing & a hassle is all.

Cheers for the info, will suss them out once I hear back from Pack & Send and the Seller.

You said good repairers? Avoid Alliance then.

Go see Briffa engineering in Malaga.

Yeah man, Thats what im betting on. The dude I bought them off just gave me a price including shipping... never even thought about insurance. I sure will next time. BTW It was actually pack & send that packed them up cause they claimed the packaging they were dropped off in was insufficient too!

Cheers, Any idea on cost?? I thought an engineering joint would be better as these are not your run of the mill 1 peice alloy most Aussie cars would have, which I am guessing makes up 99% of alliance's business.
