Default Keep or sell??

Been pondering a bit lately what direction to go with my wagon. I got very minor damage from the hail storm and contemplating either full respray (probably a pearl white), or sell up and cut my losses and move on to a newer model. Also wondering what it would be worth in its current shape vs fresh paint etc.

Quite a few here will know it but for those that don't I'll outline the basics;
96 GX Impreza shell with 98 ADM WRX running gear and interior.
4 pot front brakes w slotted rotors (Possibly DBA's)
Bugeye 17's with yoko A drives
MY00 crystal headlights and grill
Ebay crystal clear parkers
98 - 00 Bonnet (Hail damaged)
Early GC8 front bumper
97 STI tail lights, boot and spoilers
JDM electric folding mirrors
No doubt there is more but its a start.

So yes, basically just looking for opinions on current value and what it could be worth after new paint. If I do paint it, I will be putting on a new bonnet etc.

Swapping cars always ends up costing more in the end. Being a conversion as well means you won't get the same as a legit WRX too. Maybe $8-9k????? Respray would be about half the price of selling it but you'll never recoup that money if/when you sell.

If it's just the hail damage that bugs you that much then get a replacement bonnet or get some PDR & enjoy it.

Cost of respray is not really a factor, as I used to be a spraypainter. It is more the time and effort of doing it. I figure that if I was to replace bonnet I may as well fix the few trolley dents etc at same time and give it a freshen up.

You would probably paint it and then not want to get rid of it .

Yeah well thats fine. Just tossing up between doing it or buying a GD, possibly a peanut.
Other line of thinking was buying a GD Impreza and doing another conversion, but this would be down the track. Ultimately I would like a twin scroll peanut wagon. This is probably just a pipe dream though as funds are rather tight of late...

For what you've done your not going to get your money back so if your happy with what you've got paint it and keep it otherwise you're going to have to cop the loss on the chin! If your not worried about the loss so much i would definately sell and get the GD!!

THIS!

Buy yourself a 02 bug wagon and do what Abdus did with my car. Sti Spec c conversion! Then just chuck the peanut sedan front end on!

The peanut sedan is way better than the peanut wagon!
