Default Betty White - Fastest In SA

You think I might have been a little disappointed swapping over my Time Attack winning EVO X GSR for a MY09 Betty STi. Not a part of it. While it might be a little different in WA, there is an underlying sentiment amongst the EVO ladies in SA that the Subie is no good, slow, and generally blows up. Just didnt seem to make sense to me......so away we went.

Several hours was spent on the dyno tuning for E85 which we have on pump here, so with 850cc injectors and a surge tank/Walbro 255l/hr pump I mapped the engine up with Opensource software (we write/tune using this method on Subaru/Mitsu)

Bottom line from the tuning session is that the EJ257 engine on E85 makes more power and torque (substantially) than the EVO X 4B11 on E85, and all using less boost pressure. In other words the Subaru engine simply does it much easier.

Figures for power tuning came in at 237awkw using 17psi boost pressure. Thats TBE, fuel system, tune. These arent Disney Dyno figures either but real numbers.

More to follow if anyone wants to hear the story...

Dont worry the EVO X RS is inherently a faster car in the chassis department, but they dont go close on Power/Torque
