How good is Open Source software! I wonder how long till more workshops in Aus start using it. As long as they donate to the Open Source project so the people that run it can continue to develop it.

Sure, the 'software' is free. But the time taken to tune the car, hiring the $160,000 dyno, the tuners experience, the original fault finding and making open source software work flawlessly, the power and water bills, the knock amplification gear, laptops, junk food staying back to tune your car, these are not free.

If people are making money from it, they should donate back to the project that made it possible, so it can continue to develop and work flawlessly. Thats what Open source is all about.
So people can have fun playing with their own cars, without being forced to pay drug money for software they don't even own. Its because of programs like ECUtek that OS came into existence.
Most of the people that use it, use it on their own cars.

If Verso is truly modified Open SOurce software, then that is going directly against the principle behind the project.
