So they were WRXs with extra options not generally available. Did they cost a whole lot more?

Yeah i have the same dilemma....on the one hand i think stock spoilers really suit these cars....but on the other hand the dumped and wingless look is just pure gold...

Surely there is something wrong with that 06 sti? That makes me very jelly thinking someone could potentially offer like 24k and be owning an 06 sti

The one Riceman (iirc) got from QLD had similar kms and was around that same price, considering it was $31+k before and it's at a Toyota dealership out in Midland they might have had it way too long and just want to get rid of it at the wholesale price.

If it has a farked engine throw a new 207 in it and away you go! (06 with a 2lt = win!!!)

I have experienced this myself... the bankrollers who finance the used cars for a dealership will from time to time get the yard to put the cars out even at down to half price and potentially sell at a loss, just to move stock which has been sitting unsold for too long.

It can be a good win situation for a buyer who's prepared to take his time and keep a close eye on a dealer's stock for that particular gem of a car he is chasing. Inside info at short notice is an added bonus! Of course the dealers don't advertise the fact unfortunately, for obvious reason.

That 06 sti looks a bit suss. Is it just me or is the sti badge on the boot sitting about 10 cm lower than usual, also lack of sti badging on the front of car could indicate that it has been in an accident?

If not thats fkn cheap..

^^

Not uncommon for cars to be cleaned up when they're at a dealership or have had prior work done to them by previous owner(s).

Can't really say dealerships pay for quality work though.
