I'm with Jordie on this one.
A lightly modded GC is not worth 17-18k. Simple.
Like a lot of people around here, I've (stupidly) poured somewhere in the region or 30k into my car over the years. The majority of that money is lost. If I were to sell it today, I might get 20k for it. But that's part of the game, you accept that when you mod.
My recent experience is that in most cases, if you price your car appropriately, it'll sell.
And for the record Joe, I think your car is easily worth the 25k you're asking.

More on topic, something I noticed while looking at STi's specifically is they don't seem to hold their value anywhere near aswell as 32/33 GTRs, which are 15+ years old, but still sellers are still asking $20k+ and it seems like they are selling.

May be due to the fact that most subarus were available at an Australian dealer car, where as skylines/silvia/many supras/chasers etc were mostly imported/

Try having a Forester, there are some out there (GT's) selling for $6-7k while others are asking $17-18K for pretty much the same car but maybe with a little less km's & a little rougher. Both groups have very mild mods too like silicon bits & TD04 etc...cheap mods in a Forester (max $2k spent).

Not dissing Joe's Barge either, it has well over $10k of parts, mint condition, low km's & lux pack so is definitley worth it. Same with Adam's & a few others with lots of money spent...they deserve the higher price.

Here I am trying to sell mine for $12k & getting absolutley nothing, got some good mods on it & goes hard but no one wants it?? I've only gotten a few emails when it was for sale in Jan offering well under $10k. Since I now own it outright I can be more flexible on price...but if I drop it a few grand I'm just making it hard for the next guy trying to sell who wants a fair price?
