+1 City Subaru if you want to go to a dealer.

I guess it all comes down to pricing and the mechanic working on your car which you wouldn't know until something goes wrong when you bring her home.

I'll give it a go and let you all know how it goes when i get serviced.

Thanks all!

Same here, first service since I have had the Bug was done at STechnic, and I was very impressed, nice blokes, Damian was easy to chat to and although the drive is like 1 hr, its worth it

I dont know what Doug charges for servicing, but I rang MMS, ASG and Melville / City Subaru for the 50,000km service, City were actually cheapest @ $650 i think it was. All the others were around the $700 mark.

Plus, I get fleet, which brought it down further I wouldnt get that through others.

Used to have both the WRX and Liberty serviced at City Subaru. No complaints. Brad and Luke are always helpful.

I now take them both to STechnic though. Doug and Damien are proper mechanics as opposed to "Service Technicians". Between the two of them (and now Dave and Basil) they have more experience than anyone else I know. What these guys dont know about Subarus, isn't worth knowing. So they are more compenent and cheaper than a dealer. Saved a load on the 100k service for the WRX.

I take both the cars there every 6 months.

Stechnic FTW

Have you tried Peel?

280 for a basic service 3 years ago, i got them to do it because the front rotors where completely chewed out and under stat warranty and guess what! they didn't even pick it up despite being ticked off as OK.. needless to say i was booked in for a free replacement before i paid for the service. i was never to return again until i needed a new key..

I paid less than $500.00 :-) Subaru had quoted me $ 800.00 and over and I got quotes from two dealers. Doug put in all Synthetic oils too.. great advise and the car ran like a dream after. Hence why I'm so pro STechnic.
