Gonna give subaru osb park a go. Will let you guys know how it goes. I've been quoted $560 for the first part of the 100k service. Heard next two service are pretty expensive.

100,000 is $550
112,500 is $1000
125,000 is $1000

prices on the last two usually end up a fair bit cheaper than quoted price.

Out of interest - what's the breakdown for what is done at those service intervals? I would assume that there none of them includes a timing belt change?

+1 for STechnic - i had my STi through there a month or so ago for a 100k service (although have only done 80k) - oils, plugs, all belts (etc) - was extremely happy with the quality of service and final result

My mate had his car serviced by a Subaru dealer about a month ago and they told him (after a lot of questioning about what they service, exactly) that as part of the service, they will re-set your computer to stock settings unless you tell them otherwise. For people that have piggyback set ups, this could be quite bad as the dealership doesn't mention anything about it in their servicing outline.
Anyone had any issues with this problem?

Stechnic FTW
As above.
These guys are the only ones that work on my vehicles besides me, and anyone that knows me will tell you how fussy I am when it comes to my cars.

I now take them both to STechnic though. Doug and Damien are proper mechanics as opposed to "Service Technicians". I take both the cars there every 6 months.

Stechnic FTW
Will have to give Doug a call for the 100k service then - a few weeks prior from the sound of things. At least he isnt too far from me.

Yeh, ended up around or just under the $500 mark with fleet.

My car has only ever required standard service and I changed the rotors. Having said that, within a week of new rotors going on they were shuddering slighlty. Ended up having to get them skimmed at the next service..... Slotted rotors now dont look so slotted !

Plus, I get fleet, which brought it down further I wouldnt get that through others.
that's weird. I swear I got my 50000km service done at the beginning of the month for 500 from city.. Hmm..

Is it advisable to go non-Subaru for a one-year old WRX?

Wont effect your warrenty if thats what you mean. If you go to any licenced garage for servicing it covers your warrenty.
