All my 08 models and up use it. Fine to use in older models, as long as you give the cooling system a full flush and there's no other type of coolant in there as it ruins the mixture.
It retails at 100 for 5 liters

Yes it does.

They are different chemicals.

You don't put red cordial in your gearbox, but both are the same colour?

Incorrect, like Rossco said, just because its green doesn't mean it suitable for Subaru engines. Genuine is really the best option and not that expensive.

Syntrax is suitable for diffs as well. Probably the best option for Subaru diffs and gearboxes.
