Cheers MY00GC8, will add them to the list

HBF have said it needs to go somewhere to be assessed and possibly quoted on, hence looking for a good yard.

The other car's roof is creased, not sure about mine. Looks like damaged chassis rails though.

I have heard of wingless, but backless is ridiculous! Still looks better than a hatch thought in my opinion

You could take it to my shop but looking at it it might be repairable.

Subaru OP recommends work to Zarb's in OP.

T&R are good.

oh yeah.. my wife works for HBF, so you are probably dealing with her.

If your roof isn't creased (as in obviously) they will quote it. In my opinion, and I've seen heaps of the stuff my wife quotes on for work, that's not a write off. MY09 - $37k car, there is probably about $15k damage there.. they will want to fix it.

Oh, and if you get a cheque, I'm advising you now, they will take out the rest of your policy from the sum paid to you, to cover your now terminated policy. This is if you opted to pay month by month, which most ppl do. (just so you don't have a go at them)

Andrew, as a car enthusiest you should be able to identify nearly every model of every brand :P
Mate, usually I can but it is a Monday morning.

I'll be alert and awake by Wednesday

T&R does great work and will also help getting appropriate quotes and supporting quotes from other repairers.

Cheers Jason, if you are too busy then a $50k quote will do it

Thanks Kym, am dealing with Bonnie behind the scenes and Siti as the assessor. Whatever happens I just have to cop it sweet. And I do pay monthly, policy is 6 months in. Only $600 so in the scheme of things it isn't too much.

As it was dark and I was extremely pissed off, I didn't get a good look at the roof. I am hoping to get down to have a good look at it today but relying on public transport makes it tough. I opted for unlimited windscreen replacements and not a hire car

Don't like the sound of a repair really, if it were my fault I could wear it, but a 2 year old car and not my fault, it would hurt.

I would be devo mate, looks like a considerable amount of damage done to the car and suspension/chassis. All the best with the outcome, and hope it works out for the better.

Cheers

Hahaha if only!

Bonnie would be the teleclaims person and Siti is the claims officer. The assessors there are Graham, Andrew and Sean. All good blokes.

That sounds SWEET! But not too sure on the red 11 as the flaring doesn't stand out as much as it does on a gun metal or silver, still seeing how it works out we might have to have a chat Will be looking at leasing I think.

And Yeh I am devo, can't believe it happened, who would think that parking at the traino this would happen. Doing the responsible thing on a Friday with possibility of drinks and BANG!

Really looking at the positive of possibly getting into a MY11, it's all I can do really. Trying to work out the best way to let HBF know that I do not want it back...

Too right! I misread the email and Siti is the claims officer, looks like a carton going to the one that ends up looking at my dak dak **nudge nudge** Cheers for all the help mate, appreciate the opinion of someone on the repairs side.
