My opinion as a minimum for a reliable Td06 application:

Ej207 bottom end (preferably with decent internals & better oil pump), decent ecu, decent fuel pump, gd sti top mount intercooler, bigger injectors.

Gt30r: requires the above plus: twist mounting, external wastegate, front mount cooler, Map sensed ecu (motec, vipec, link), custom pipe work, custom dump & screamer etc,etc,etc.....

All of these would be pointless without going the whole hog (decent built motor, cams, 6 speed etc)

Tdo6 build done 'properly'
motor $10k
ecu $3K
Turbo $1k
fuel system (pump & injectors) $1k

P.s you should do some searching & research on these forums.

My build:

Gav's build:

There are others here too.

bolt a td06 on & go nuts then.

You'd be better off with a vf34 or any of the twin scroll set ups however.

What sort of HP are you chasing?

TD06 for the win, with what you've already had done, just bolt it on, retune, start smiling. Just don't expect anything really exciting to happen below 4000rpm.

Well since hes got money, go the GT30, or why not a GT35? May as well do it properly.
