Forester Represent ! hey PMH were you the guy that used to have the wrx hatch from the pwrx wet skid pan day last year???

im very happy with my foz, compared to a same model WRX MY00 which i have driven the gears in the WRX seem to pull harder/longer than the foz, might have something to do with the 4x4 aspect of the foz, which absolutally hammers in the dirt and dunes. I think also the ecu might come into play aswell as the cams which are diffrent, im running a TD04L same as the wrx too and can defiantally feel the diffrence between the 2, definatally because of the box. I find the foz alot more versatile than the WRX.

Foz runs higher compression, lower gearing, different cams - that in itself makes the usual td04 upgrade with supporting mods enough to make a forester quite an angry animal, and more then enough to take it into the 13's. But its still a big vehicle with a higher centre of gravity and more weight. K's old GT (now in pmh's possession) has a full array of suspension mods including kyb 03/05 sti shocks, lowered springs (making for a total drop of 3.5"), swaybars with upgraded links and a strut brace. 100% improvement on the standard setup but still not enough to match a wrx with similar suspension - pure physics, its just that much bigger and heavier it won't compete from a handling point of view i.e. not as agile BUT it has more room, is a nicer - more comfortable ride, less plod attention and insurance is nowhere near as painful. A dropped fozzy looks the shit to boot!! Pro's and con's either way...you add em up and see what tickles your pickle.

Yeah, that's me. Or WAS me.

The foz is definitely a step up from the rex(non Sti) from the confort side. Space is great. Handling, its pretty good once its lowered. I think its actually stiffer than the old car. But i could be suffering from withdrawal symptoms. The higher compression definitely helps with the power output.

Just need an ECU or piggy to make all the AFR and fuel consumption tie up. That's going to be a long wait
