Hmm interesting...

Last one I saw (long time ago) the double fine was failure to report the driver's details in the specified time. Speaking to the cop shop, they were quite insistant that it was a few thousand if you didn't nominate a driver...

Wasn't me so didn't really investigate/care to find out!

No mate. As per original thread it was set up on the opposite side of the road to which I was travelling, on a 2 lane highway, catching both lanes in both directions.

Yep company car and they got the original notice which was for $150 and no demerits. I filled it out saying I was the driver and I will get another notice back with a $75 fine and obviously no demerits still.

You may be right John. It's been years since our company car received a ticket which the owner was quite happy to nominate me (considering I was driving)

I've only got the nominated driver documentation to check.

I wont say how many fines I have had in the last couple of years, but put it this way, if you still have a licence than its more than you've had.

I have only ever paid double the initial fine.

Where I work, we have had letters threatening to deregister 5 random fleet cars if drivers were not identified. We have asked for info as to where in legislation they have the power to do this but no info has been provided....

112 . Liability of director etc. of a body corporate that is owner of a vehicle which doesn't cover the issue.

Be interested to know under what act that de registration can occur.

seriously if you want to speed, at least take propper precautions, i e a laser jammer, i have one on my car and dad has them on all his........ cant remember the last time we ever had an infringement in the mail........
