Default BP ULTIMATE VS CALTEX 98 etc..

Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone really knows if there is a difference between BP 98, and Caltex 98?? (or others)

I've herd 100's of different opinions on this matter.. some telling me it all comes from the same damn truck, others saying theres a difference and BP is superior.

Can anyone officially clean this up?

Cheers,
Matt

At one stage I really thought BP 98 was the best since they supply WA with its fuel. Unless things have change and there is another supplier.

Lately however, I tried Shell 98 and it seems better than BP's 98, burns slower too if that helps?

Most people i think would chose BP over Caltex but i can't tell if there is that much of a difference, except usually the price!

Wondering if using caltex 98 and adding a bottle of octane booster would help?

Just to clarify... Brewed by BP to the vendors receipe. Caltex 98 is not BP Ultimate. Two different formulas. Both 98 RON.

Definately not from the same truck though! They are different in colour, bp has the tinge yellow where caltex still has the purpley tinge!
