Default boost

hey there
anyone here had there car tuned, to lets say 1.3 bar, and then a few months later when your driving look at your boost gauge and see that its changed and running 0.9 to 1 bar boost. i noticed it today when i was driving...?
any ideas there to what that would be? its like its lost its tune.

In a nut shell:
possible Boost leak- leaking somewhere between turbo & throttle body or vacuum pipe popped off.
Someone played with your boost controller?
Turbo dying.
Blocked Cat. or header leak.
potato in tailpipe.

I would check all of the boost control vac lines first, .9-1.0 indicates it's only making roughly wastegate pressure. look for a split line somewhere.

Wastegate pressure on a factory turbo (factory wastegate) is about .5 bar or 7psi.
Does the car drive any differently, may be an issue with the hose to the boost gauge if not.
If it feels slower, Rossco's probably right, boost leak.
Does the car have an aftermarket ECU? Or Ecutek?

If the turbo has just been replaced, there may be a loose hose clamp between the turbo and the throttle body.

Kaiden, check your boost pressure with a known "good" gauge. Yours might not be reading 100% correct. The gauge you have could have a loose fitting on it, or the line to the gauge could be partially blocked.

Does the car feel like it is any slower now? .4 of a bar is a decent mount of boost to lose, you should feel the difference in the way the car drives.
