actually being economical for cruising is about the only thing the wolf actually does RIGHT in a closed loop setup anyway

thanks paul, but that's a bit optimistic
one day i will get back into modding it, for now, it sits there looking sad!

yes, the $6k is: computer, unlock adv features, setup antilag and LC, tuning, diagnosing and labour to fix boost/wastegate problems, delco solenoid and lots of other little things that add up and u just dont realise till u get the bill. i assure u, this is the lighter side of spending on electronics... u can then get into ADLs and u might need CDI and lots of other things that really blow the budget (ask Ramon if u ever see him). the point is, the base price ppl quote isnt usually what u pay

of course the other parts are optional extras. it's hard to add up mods, the parts are pretty much standard, It's the running costs of modding a car. things break and WILL break all the time, u just have to expect it. expect at least twice the price of the inital cost of parts for R&D, fixing problems, and installation. then after that, things start breaking...and then u fix it, and something else will break

why even worry about fuel economy? the more power ur car makes, the more fuel it consumes, simple as that. if u dont want ur fuel economy to go to shit beyond the rich tune from factory or beyond a slightly leaner retune with an ecu, then dont mod the car.

after being thru all this, i recommend the best power mods to a wrx would be a bolt on med sized turbo, intake & zorst, decent ecu, and fuelling. anything more, and u'r paying big dollars for very small gains in power.

Yeah ....Think I'll just leave mine as it is & get around to filling the NOS bottle one day & growing the balls to hit the switch, 200 atw should be enough.
