Default Subaru debuts Production BRZ

Looks fairly different from the BRZ STI concept. No new information that hasn't been around for the last month - 200 hp, ~1200 kg rwd coupe.

I was hoping the BRZ would differentiate itself a bit more from the GT86 but it looks almost identical. I guess thats not surprising given the joint venture between the two companys. Probably unlikely this will make it to Australia.

Yeah I'm only speculating but I can't see Subaru bringing the standard BRZ into Oz; the Toyota version will eat up that market.
The STI however...

Ps: Bob Jane-spec wheels = fail. Meh, whaddaya want for $30k?

I agree that it does look a bit high / awkward. And yet it still has one of the lowest COG of any (cheap) production car - by a long way.

Also its still only ~1285mm (50.6 in.) high... 20 cm lower then the current WRX Not as low as an rx7 (1229 mm) of course.

I've attached a pic of a Betty and the concept version overlayed. Can't vouch for the accuracy but it was all measured relative to wheelbase apparently. Of course the concept is lower then the production but still a good (rough) idea of its size.

Seems like I'm the only one that's interested in the 86/BRZ

Mmm think I prefer the 86's look over this. Front end + ride height make it look quite soft, and the rear shot makes the door handle seem huge and out of place. Still, nothing a quality body kit and some decent springs can't fix!
