Jaycar make good cheap speakers.. 6" coax Kevlar speakers for $90. Ran some in a previous car, good value for money.

Sony splits front, sony rears, 4ch amp...don't bother with the sub, and sony headunit...looking at ~ $500-600 from JBHIFI in a package deal, excluding install.

i know the decent brands like Rockford Fosgate, cdt, alpine, dynaudio, focal etc. And discovered what theyre capable of. i've just never had the pleasure of putting in basic cheapy systems in to know what works on that level...doesnt mean i know nothing about car audio..
