rain or no rain.. doesnt sound electrical as i first thought.

could really be a series of things.

based off experience, check your boost/vaccum line going into your manifold see if its cracked or off.
possibly air flow metre,
throttle body issues,
intake manifold gasket leak...

check those mate...might not be the answer but will help diagnose the issue

Do you have a CAI tht runs down through your guard? If so the filters probably for wet from your front tyre or just splash up. If its running fine at the end of today, providing you dont drive through any small creeks, I wouldn't worry about it too much

It's a GC8 right? What cai do you have? If its not an underbody one you'll probably find it came in through the vents on your bonnet of they're not covered under them

Could have a cracked lead or coil casing or a casing on a connector, with the motor running run a hose gently over all the different electrical connectors giving them a wiggle and time to get wet to see if it repeats itself, then replace or seal it with silicone after you've dried it.
