There are a couple of B-regs, a conversion and when it comes to personally imported ones there's one on the mainland and one on Christmas island.

There's also now a S206 over east which was bought in via race rally rego and will be used as a track car.

Will try turn up for the Langley Park meet weather pending but need to bail @ 10 and can't join the cruise part as I have other business to attend to.

Ramon works on Sundays so the 201 won't be coming.
so basically if i want a s203 ill need to live in japan for 12months ?

DukeDrifter 22-09-2012 12:47 AM

would u really want a radio or care that you didnt have aircon, when you had a ferrari 3.0L V8 twin turbo nestled behind your head rest screaming its tits off at 7000rpm ? not to mention 350kw odd at the wheels and only 1100kgs holding you back.....

Yep but its harder to bring cars in these days, some guy on ozfoz had a hell of a battle getting his STi Foz here even though he owned it in Japan for 12mths, proved the upkeep etc etc and showed passport proving he lived there non stop for the min 12mths.

They still farked him around for over a year or more before his appeal was finally approved.

Or the cheaper option is move to NZ for just over a year, import what ever you want from Japan in your first month then bring it back to oz when you come home.

NZ is a hell of a lot cheaper to live than Japan!!!
Well if u like Fezza's so much buy my wifes MR-S and put one of those try-hard bodykits on it . . .

Anyways, from my experiences with hi performance bikes, owning and riding Italian ones is very frustrating(and expensive but ignoring this) compared to their Japanese rivals.

I put over $60K into a few Mazda RX's over the years so not fussed about 85K for basically a new car.
I paid almost 75K for a Audi A4 8 years ago and that was a mistake as struggling to sell it for more than $12K.
We also lost $40K in 2 years on a SLK . . .should I go on???

I love my cars/bikes but have to be a bit more careful due to economic conditions in recent times.
Cool story bro. Tell it again!

Modding multiple cars over time and paying the same for an outright car (overly priced yet uber cool) can't be compared.

Turning down a F40 for a 22B would be like turning down an invite to the playboy mansion with the latest nympho cover girl so you could go and share a bucket of KFC with the manly looking lesbian you met at the Court last night.

ALLPAWS 22-09-2012 09:49 AM

God, Iv'e stirred up a hornets nest!!!

Would of thought I'd get a bit of support esp. in a WRX forum of all places!

Put it this way, I sell a few current toys I have around $40K cash so would only have to find another $40K or so to buy the/a 22B.

I have to invest a bit on our business in the next few weeks but if all goes to plan I should be netting an extra $1000 a week or so over current earnings in six months time.

I could add another toy like a BRZ but a mint 22B really gets me wet.

It wouldn't be mothballed but probably wouldn't do over 3000km per year.

It would also see a track day or two.

If it doesn't work out I'll just have to console myself with an Aprilia RSV4 factory . . .
Ironically Italian:)

DukeDrifter 22-09-2012 09:50 AM

you could buy as many 22b as you want for the price of an f40
