No shame in a new EJ207. It'll be more then ample to withstand what you're going to throw at it.

145,000km would not put me off one bit on one of them. Shit modifications, missing service records, ratty interior, general neglect would put me off more on a car with half the kays.

The car with the high kays is probably a genuine car, lots of (suposedly) low kay cars have been tampered with.

But always get it looked at by someone who knows. Don't get me started on horror stories of people who have bought duds.

I think the real answer to your question is anything over 20,000km per year is high km. do the maths on each car you look at.

Its a 4cyl engine. You may get up past 200xxx with reg servicing, But then you will need to start thinking about getting a rebuild.

I've always thought 13000k's a year is average. If a cars stuffed at 150 its had a hard life, 250 is fairly good life out of a motor. A compressioin test is a good way of checking your motors condition, highly increased fuel consumption and loss of power is another good sign

20 to 25k a year is the average.
As said, depends how its been looked after.
Get it checked by STechnic for peace of mind.
