So I rang City Subaru and told them about the brant alarm.

Dealer: Did you bought the car with us ?

Me: No but I was told to ring you guys by Subaru Osborne Park because your nearer.

Dealer: Mate, just ring back whoever you bought the car from and get them to fix it for you alright ? bye. *hangs up*
Hehe, i had a very rude guy at the Parts desk at City Subaru talk to me in the same vein. Definitely not going back there!

yeah I agree. The service centre, forgot what his name was., was extremely helpful. He goes the extra length for me when my brant alarm starts giving me headaches.

Yeah. I spoke to that dude before. There was once I lost my keys. Both in fact. Long story.

I called up osborne park as usual and they said they can settle the problem for me but its wiser to tow it to city subaru as I save on towing cost etc.

Gave them a ring and the receptionist handed me to the parts department. They said they can fix it if I had the money because the molding of the keys ain't cheap ($500-$1000). So I told him no way it can be that expensive.

The guy starts to telling me tales of doing this and that and finally said, "since osborne park can do it cheaper, why don't you take it there."

I'm like ... wtf ?

And I was extremely polite to begin with.

I have to be stupid enough to go to them twice when I lost my keys + brant alarm issues.

Pisses me off everytime that girl sings the City Subaru TV advert.

This thread is nothing short of incredible.

Kinda wish that Subaru Oz actually would read some of the stuff that's been posted up here and elsewhere; especially when major flaws are exposed and largely corroborated by the membership.

On a more pleasant note, I can give a good report about the local dealership in Bunbury .
