Don't just call them (City Subaru), contact Subaru Australia and let them know what kind of crap they tried to pull. They will surely want to know about it. If places like that don't get their chain yanked from above they will keep doing it!

Hmm.. speaking of which..
I went to one of the dealerships, was having a quick look at a newer model rex. One of the salesmen wouldnt let me go, and to persuade me to buy the car, he turns it on and starts revving the fuck out of it for a minute or so and keeps going on about how nice it sounds. Mind you its just after 9 on a cold morning. Anyway after he's revved it hard enough he just shuts the engine off. In the end i gave him a fake number so he could finally leave me alone. |

City Subaru is owned by Melville Subaru. According to dealerships laws, a dealer can only own a maximum of two of any one brand. This is why AHG had to close Total Subaru, because they opened Subaru Osborne Park and already had North Subaru Wangara. Peel Subaru is an independent. In my experience, all dealerships can be as bad as each other. However, occasionally you come across individuals who work for these dealers who give them a good or bad name. They are only as good as the people they employ. |

I have had a good experience with Meville Subaru but stopped goin there for the sheer cost of everything.... I mean who in there right mind would pay 250 for a windshield washer pump.... I rung City Subaru and they said yea come get one... I rung Meville however and they said save your money and go to repco... Buy the pump, modify the connector and clip it in...

I concur.
I recall I had a brant alarm issue when I fixed my FMIC. Subaru Osborne park told me to ring City Subaru for code as its nearer to me and if I tow the car there it'll be cheaper. Also they share the same database. So I rang City Subaru and told them about the brant alarm. Dealer: Did you bought the car with us ? Me: No but I was told to ring you guys by Subaru Osborne Park because your nearer. Dealer: Mate, just ring back whoever you bought the car from and get them to fix it for you alright ? bye. *hangs up* |

unfortunately theres plenty of bad apples going around, just as it is with the real estate business, some fkin clowns in that too, cos the markets in their favour.
As sparty says theyre only as good as the peeps they employ, I guess were lucky theres a few subi ones around, you will not believe the amount of fkin stuffin around my mates got for when he bought his peugeot as up until recently there was just 1 in perth. He has sold the car just 6 months on as he couldnt put up with them. Go Figure. On all visits ive had plenty of good exchanges with mazda when i was checking out the mps, and mitsubishi for the evo. I concur with others though just write up a stinging letter to subaru australia. The real people I feel sorry for is your average joe bloggs whos got no idea about cars, gettin ripped of to the dealers delight. Last edited by saturation; 14-05-2006 at 12:14 PM. |
