RS40 has an STi strut brace and short shifter and thats it over a basic WRX performance wise.
Just some good pads and fluid will see those brakes performing a lot better. Down the track and depending on what you do with the car, slotted rotors too :-)

Exhaust is on order tho I may have to hold out on the tune while under warranty.
Suspension, minor cosmetic changes and wheels are also in the firing line.

nice...I was rushing to QV1(Chevron).

I'm glad the dak dak covered the sound of my (FUCKING ANNOYING>) squeaky discs....they didn't machine my rotors when they put my (real)HC+s in a few weeks back and now it's squeaking while rolling at low speeds without brakes applied...have it booked for machining as soon as I'm back from holidays.

Oh really? I'm about to put in hc+ fronts for barbs next week and wasn't going to bother about machining the rotors.. But I might just swap the old bendix back in for daily driving afterwards

I reckon best to have set of rotors too if you're swapping pads for track...like keep the HC+s with their bedded in rotors.
or option 2: chuck bendix in the bin, put HC+ with disc machined, bed them in, and leave it be

IMO I don't think it does any good to your discs if you swap pads without machining and proper bedding in, maybe someone on pwrx with more experience with this subject can comment
