Does the hatch vs sedan physically drive any different?

I presume the hatch would be a little bit more noisey due to open areas in the rear?

Overall a big difference in cabin noise from the GD versions?

Apparently the hatch has far less cabin noise. Who cares about drone anyhow. If every other fucker on the road has to listen to our exhausts, why shouldn't we?

I just turn up the stereo...

I've got the MY11 hatch with a butler exhaust on it. very little drone and fairly quiet. if it is an issue, just turn up the stereo as what Trolley mentioned. drowns out all the interior rattles too

If you don't like noise you should buy a Camry.

You might find that there is a bit of work required to get rid of the rattles, but I'm glad that I'm not alone on this front.

Typical rattles include dash (central area), A & B pillars.
Not having the Sedan means you don't have to deal with the rear parcel shelf rattles, but the hatch will still have one or two associated with the cargo tray/cover.
There is a fix for this though.

my dashboard makes a velcro kind of noise when the car is cold and going over huge ass dips in the road. none when warm. strange.

i can imagine Tony being that way, i can repsect that.

looks are looks and dont let they sway you either way, its your beast and do as you please. i spend most of my time driving insiode the car so aesthtics arent life changing for me anyway. looking back i liked the 07 STIs and wish i could have afforded an MY11/MY12. mortgages are a bitch and the wife reckons you have to eat everyday so hence my choice.

yes ranty, am running on 3 hours sleep and 2 red bulls. Damn you F1!!! /rant.

wondered why it was so bright at home, then realized i was at work..fark!!

Why an MY11 STI is the same as a mortgage.

Car loan $ 340.00/week
Insurance $ 50/week
Petrol $ 150/week
Servicing/Tyres/other $ 50.00/week
Total $ 590.00 Week
Mortgage around $ 650/week

Pretty much the same?
