hey there,

i was in the same boat and in hind sight should, have gone for the white MY11 hatch within my budget in melville subaru, but i dont like hatches hence the MY10 sedan i now have.

i agree with tony the rear bumper gills look a bit off but, ah well, i will get over it. and yes that drone is mainly there due to the MY11 mufflers as well as the Y pipe. i know this because i swapped out my MY10 single tip mufflers for MY11 stock twins and i all of a sudden noticed the drone, but doesnt bother me really. it does add a bit more of a beefy note though and look a shit load better then the stocker singles. each to their own.

and i have had comments on the KIA look from the rear but i bet any KIA would be stoked to look like a WRX from the front! let alone perform remotely close to one.

also found stock seats are marginal with support at best, the leather ones offer zero body grip, prob more comfort than anything else. i tested both under cornering and found myself correcting seating and driving position and twitching to keep my self upright. feeling yourself slip down and across the seat. gets annoying or i am just a picky bastard.

enjoy the hunt.

Ye im not too worried about the kia look! Was just the wife!

Now what are you both meaning about rear number gills - sedan or hatch?

Hatch the fins underneath...? But being that you both have sedans and "living with it" im lost....

Suspension like a gd gx aye - oh dear! I used to have a 01 RX so ye that was a bit too soft.....

Will have to find some and go for a drive...

Lol I agree with the Kia comment. Save and get an MY11 hatch.. chuck and STI rear wing on and fix the handling.

What Boxer25 and I were referring to is the cut outs in the rear bumper, they look like crap and I don't know why they put them in the bumper.

I think whichever year you do get (09 and above that is) you'll be fine.

Looking forward to your purchase!

Don't forget to get it inspected by a reputable workshop before putting down your hard earned cash

I'm a bit biased but I would go a MY11. If MY11/12 rex's still looked like the 08-10's then I would of just forked out the extra dough for an STi or not bought a subaru at all.

The (lets face it) shit camry-lookalike body shape left a lot to be desired on MY08-MY10.

Ahhhh i see what you mean~!! Mmm ye that does look a little blah...

Also as per that pic (a 09) there is no foglight in the middle, i can't see why it couldn't hold a tow hitch (for a bike rack)... wasn't until the 11 that they put that in... odd
