You guys are all making me really regret buying a WRX instead of a STI

Glen, I was in the same shoes as you mate. Had about the same budget as you too. Everyone was pointing me to a 02 STI, but being a bugeye, I absolutely hated the look and can't see myself in one even though it's so much better. I decided on a WRX as I going to daily drive it as well and didn't need the extra "hardness" of a STI.

Fast forward a year later and this is the lesson I learned. I should've spent another 6 months or so saving up and gotten a 03 STI....or with the budget you have now, look for a Evo 6 or 6 TME.

I was in the same situation as you when i was looking for my first WRX. I decided to wait a little longer and save up for a STI. Mainly because i had read a lot of people saying on numerous forums, they regret not waiting and spending a little more for a STI. In the end spending more money on their standard WRX to get it close to a STI.

My 2c, wait a little longer and get the STI, well worth it!
