Do your research about what car you want, pay the money to get it inspected. just like everyone else on here does when they buy a wrx...

i've seen this car before, the owner takes a lot of pride in his car, its a clean example of an STI, the only thing is the k's which still works outs to be 15'000k's a year so i guess thats average for it's age.

Everyone you speak to is going to have different opinions, you're best bet is to go look at these car's in person as they may present better then you expect and pay what you feel you are comfortable with.

I know when i bought mine i probably paid too much, but i didn't care because i knew it was exactly what i was looking for and as soon as i drove it down the street i had forgotten about the money side of things.

in this situation, you pay for what you get....if you don't want to spend a lot of money but still want the same product be prepared to obtain something of lesser quality and condition ie: k's over 100k, body blemishes ect.
