Also if you use boost alot in a short amount of time you will lose cooling efficiency alot quicker if your still using the standard top mount. Im with trolley aswell on the turbo choice. td05-18 if you want less lag, td05-20 if you want top end power. Seeing as you already have an exhaust you also need to budget for a Tune and fuel pump aswell which shouldn't cost you more than $1500 together.. as JDM_stylez suggests you should consider selling and purchasing an STi when you start adding everything up it is absolutely worth it! Tougher internals, brembos, 6 speed, better turbo and intercooler. If you purchase an STi you will just need an exhaust and tune and your putting out better power than if you get the mods done to your WRX along with the rest of the package |

Not just better cooling, But you will retain more power and torque at the top end for longer. The stock wrx tmic is very restrictive.

The exhaust that was fitted and has already got a ecutek system and a 550hp fuel pump and putting out 14104KW atm. I have a mate that has a STI intercooler and wants to get rid of it. Just wondering which STI intercooler models fit on my car 2006? I am not sure the year of the car it came off with but will find out later. I plan on keeping this car and doing a little so I get around 240-260hp. I am considering on getting the VF34 turbo and the STI intercooler and a tune for now. Im not sure how good the TD05 18-20 compared to the VF34 for my rexy?

Should bolt straight on afaik.
You might want to purchase the STI air splitter to fully maximise its efficiency. |

Sti , top mount will go on easy and add a little midrange go, torque, response. Well suited to your turbo as well.. TMIC have shorter overall intake length increasing response and better for dailys but suffer more from heat soak, FMIC suit large turbo applications for better flow at high rpm but will reduce response and bottom end if matched incorrectly. Also don't soak up as bad. Suited for serious track car or dyno kings-monster drag car. Your setup will be good fun!
