Another potential side-effect of launching is breaking rear drive shafts..

Since i am on the WRX platform with R160 shafts, its well known that these are not as good as the R180 shafts. (not by much im led to believe)

To make matters worse, having a clutch pack two way diff i snapped not just one shaft but both.

"You play.. you pay"

*i now keep spare R160 shafts in the garage.. consumable item

Had Verso LC on the old STI. Did heaps of launches at autotests, sprints etc without issue or clutch smell (on R specs). Was good for consistent launches in a timed event.
