What's your budget, and what will you want to use the car for? (how regularly will you drive it, what sort of driving do you want to do)

Looking for a daily driver, with mods/tune preferably. Do like my 06 shaped wrx's and want to spend anything up to about $25-$27k

You can get a MY06 STi for that upper limit in WA right now

What advantages would an STI have over a modified wrx? Easier to build an sti?

Starting off with 90% of the stuff you will want to upgrade on a WRX already fitted to an STI . Six Speed , Six speed , Six speed . Did I mention Six speed.

Brembo brakes, 6 speed, better interior, turbo, intercooler, block, tune, injectors, resale value, scoop, spoiler, foglight covers, 5x114.3 stud pattern so wider choice of wheels, suspension + bracing...
