Hasy anyone done this??

Just buy an STI manifold if you want to delete them.. However you will need to fudge the ecu with a bit of trickey if you run a stock ecu.
If you have a standalone it should be easy enough to disable the missing tumblers. |
I've had it done.
My TGVs are gutted, and the holes are welded up. They are also match ported. Dont know if it made a difference, because I did heaps of other stuff at the same time. As Pete said, you will need to fool the stock ECU if you remove the TGVs, but I have a Motec so no problems with ECU issues. |
Balistc - Who did it for you? Especially the Match ported

The Shed did it for me, when they did a bunch of other work on the car.

Sorry, i know this is a very dumb question is the shed exactly, where is it and who is it?
I believe its a workshop started by and for a few of the guys on here and is just in some random warehouse, but even if thats correct thats all i know |
correct.

What exactly does this mod do?
|
it allows better air flow inside the manifold i guess
|
siginicantly cleans up the airways in the manifold, you -will- acheive at least a 15hp improvement in peak performance.
the tumblers are basically a secondary throttle assembly hidden inside the manifold. |
