What were the other mods that gave you 95whp?

Different ratios, maybe not a 1:1 ratio on the box?

Only time I've ever heard of someone retune the car for a box change was to align when the car was topping out at a certain range and certain gear for the drags.

This also wasn't a subi of any kind. There may be a slight advantage in delivery of the power to match the ratio's between the gears, but I can't see a need or a noticeable difference.

My fuel consumption definitely gone up since going to a 6 speed.
The 5 speed was much more lethargic and the ratios generally kept it low in the rev range unless you were really winding it out.

The 6 speed is the opposite, unless you make an active effort to drop it into 5th or 6th, you are always seemingly at 3000-4000RPM which is good in the sense you are always close to boost.

Similar question regarding retune (Betty STI):

Catback installed, retune?
If no, how about catback + headers?

Why don't you replace the down pipe as well and get more bang for your buck out of the tune?

I'm aware of that, but I know that downpipe will require a retune - I was not sure about the headers, hence my asking. I don't want to have to retune just yet. Only looking for some rumble, can't stand the stock exhaust. Spent .... well, too much on my previous car. Won't be going down that route again (inb4 full cosworth rebuild in 1 month)
