Nexen N6000.
Usually about $150 each and seen them do a 67sec lap of barbs long track.
Master D, JRecardo and dnbosiris like this.

matter of hours before I finally get my first WRX... Howver have tried a lot of different tyres on my 200sx (which is 320hp at the rear wheel). The ones I have found the best value are Yokohana C or S drives (the size 225 x 45 17inch) the c drives these days are called c drive 2.
The only real difference is the speed rating. For s drives it is a 300km/h tyre and the c slightly less (don't have the stats in front of me right now). Since I doubt very much that I will hit anything even close to that speed the c drive is fine.
I had a new set put on last month (they didn't carry any s drive in my size any more), which costs me $260 a tyre.
As some one else in thread had said, they are awesome in wet and dry, corner very well and stop when you need them to.

These have been superseded, and replaced with the nexen n-fera su1.

Put the STi 225/45R17 sizing on. Larger footprint, and will remove the built in speedo inaccuracy

Yokohama C.drive 2 on clearance currently $168 each

Kumho HS51 $145 each

Nexen N6000 $135 each

HTH

I'm using Hankook RS-3 at the moment, they were $270 each for 245/40R17s (on 9" rims) I am very happy with them.

I was running 215 KU39s on the factory 7" alloys but they had a lot of road noise on a lot of surfaces (our roads are pretty rough around here) and surprisingly the RS-3s are a lot quieter. The KU39s were about $140 each from memory. The performace was great but the noise was annoying. I have them in the shed with only about 1-2k km on them and might use them once my RS-3s are due for replacement.

I haven't used KU36s myself but the prices from international tyre trader are good if you are running 17x7 wheels. $136 per tyre and the postage is very reasonable.
KUMHO 215/45R17 87W ECSTA XS KU36

The reason I skipped the KU36s is that they are noisier than the KU39 but if that doesn't bother you then have a look at a lot of reviews before buying any.
