Decided to get the q300 from prospeed racing with the aus spec down pipe. Will see if they can put a splitter in for me too as the aus spec dp doesnt come with one.

Can anyone tell me if ineed to get a tune straight after it has been fitted as i may not get both jobs done at the same place?

Race torque can supply and install it in one go

using the Perth-WRX mobile app

You can drive it without a tune. Just make a tune a priority and stay off boost :thumbup:

I was chatting with prospeedracing and they reckon a splitter in the dp wont make much of a difference on a 2009 wrx (only makes a difference on pre-08 models). What do you guys think of this advice?

I don't have a splitter either, but there is a lot of debate online about them. Claims of added response, torque, and even power. I would be very interested to see any direct comparisons, but they often don't exist and we're just left with opinions.

@6mins25secs into the video jedi ObrettWanKenobi gives you the low down of why you need a splitter in the wastegate

What I take from the video is that it keeps the wastegate gases and exhaust gases separate...it's what you want, Brett demonstrates the reasoning behind it in the video, but to the daily driver it will make a bee's dick of unnoticeable difference ...but also in theory should help with overboosting issues as it allows the wastegate port to open without any impact from the exhaust port.

Have seen this before but he is not exactly impartial talking about his own product (doesn't mean its bs though). He is also talking about 07 STI which backs up the advice from prospeedracing about a splitter making a difference for pre-08 models. Would be good to hear from a tuner whether there are benefits universally (including my model) or only in particular cases.
