Default Recommendations of Exhaust Shop

Hi.

After installing 1.5 scroll race headers on my car the exhaust volume is too loud. Prospeed racing and MSR have said that they have had good results with my Invidia combination by installing an extra muffler after the resonator.

Does anyone have an exhaust shop that they can recommend to supply and install?

Cheers

Beat me to it Tony.

Racetorque ordered me a Magnaflow muffler and welded up the piping themselves. Sounds amazing, made the exhaust sound quite old school on a 10STi.

You may need a retune after the muffler goes on, mine did because we went from a near straight run to two 90' elbows.

Completely changed the way the car makes power.

I wonder if he will happily remove my rear muffler and replace it with something smaller or even a straight through pipe. Hrmmmm

Want more volumes, not less.

I have a straight pipe outlet (no muffler, extremely light) that you are welcome to do a sound test with. I am not using it so no issue to borrow it.

Bolts up to the last flange by the diff mount area.

But as I stated before you may need a retune.

Cheers mate. Looks like I won't be able to visit that idea until July as going by RJ's thread, Sean is away currently. I'm fairly sure I asked him before if changing that last section of exhaust would do anything and he said no. I can't imagine it making too much of a difference back there, hence we could do diff-back exhausts with no retune required.

Awesome. Thanks guys. I will swing past and see Peter tomorrow. I am only looking at a straight through muffler as I don't want to go too quiet. Just don't want to sound like a worked rotary.
