Since then its had a HARD life, having had bad hail damage and a blow gearbox, among other things.

Bought for a steal and hopefully to get another life of fun times.

Original build-

Good shit, great to see she still lives, I counted over 36 different cars that had donated parts to her, 7 on the bonnet alone lol, I sold it for about $9500 from memory, what you pay? The car was made from 3 wrecked WRX's + + + only thing original is the floor pan, firewall, front rails and inner guards and one A pillar.

Give me a yell if you want to know anything.

Did you see this?

I ended up paying $700 because of the hail damage and the fact that its a 3 speed. But I've bought another hi/lo box and diff for $150 i am worried that it will blow again but it was the last guys, what i can assumed brutality that blew it. So a hi/lo will go just fine until i find a sti box, as im intending to do some khana cross/ rallying and with the high way k's and 4.444 ratio's

Ive looked through most of your threads on the car and the video's. looked legit wish we had those sort of dunes over here in qld. One question i have for you Pimpreza is do you know the km's on the shell when the clutch was changed?

When I sold it it had probably done about 4,000k's, pretty sure it's a specially made one out of a late STI as I had to get a special plate made to fit the flywheel, doubt it's done many K's and I never gave it any greif, the dick that bought it off me hardly used it because he had a big sook about the extended rear trailing arms, not sure if he's the one that blew 1st but it's the only weak gear, all the others are the same width as any WRX box, you'd get more than $700 for the front and rear bar work lol, I know it was for sale about 6 - 8 months ago in I think Melbourne with the blown box for about $7,500 so it's been around.

Yeah saw it back then. Pretty much it went down $1000 every month or so down to $1500.

Clutch is slipping atm and I knew it was a specialish clutch. So I'm hoping I can get a few more km's as I know it hasn't done much. Just thinking it might be a bit glazed. Here's hoping a 1st gear up against a tree at low rpm will clean it off , ive seen this work on clutchs that have had high rpm clutch slipping done to them as I imagine this one would have had considering the lack of 1st, 2nd and 4th.

With the standard arms the car was really twitchy to drive, pretty much change lanes on it's own on the freeway, scary shit, we tried everything from 65mm spacers on the front of them to 65mm spacers where the front ALK would go and a million other things including about 4 wheel alignments, obviously putting the lift kit in had shortened the wheelbase and the rear wheels were way too close to the front of the rear guard so as a last option we got 4 rear arms and cut them so when they were joined they were about an inch longer, then they were boxed in for extra strength, I told him this had been done along with everything else over about 100 fucking emails, he even had a mechanic come inspect the car and he couldn't fault it, in fact absolutely loved it, so when it arrived in QLD it had to be regoed and he had Al from A & M Auto's do work needed but I think that's where the problem stemmed from, the buyer was a pedantic prick but I got my cash and couldn't help him so fuck him.

Not a bad idea about fixing the clutch, wish I'd known that when I had my old 60 series cruiser, new clutch with oil on it expensive repair lol ..... but don't bend that bar, it's probably the only one in Oz.

Yeah I hope it lives for a while but when you pay $700 for a car it's pretty hard to respect it lol.

Ausyrah, if you want to take the rear carrier off just open it about half way lift and the whole wheel carrier with wheel will lift off but plug it with a rag as shit will stick to the grease.
