Default GDA Front Mount Intercooler Kit

Hey guys

I am looking for a front mount intercooler kit to suit my GDA WRX, can't seem to find any options available except the eBay piping kits

Has anyone used any of the piping kits from eBay?

Subaru Impreza 90mm Front Mount Intercooler Kit - Empire Performance

Anyone using an Empire Peformance FMIC? How is the fitment?

Any help would be appreciated

There are many off the shelf kits that are built to a high standard of quality. Process West, Perrin to name a few. Stay clear of cheap kits...I had one on my GTR years ago. When I took it off it was no surprise it had so many boost leaks....nothing lined up correctly and the grade of alloy was terrible.

Depending on your setup, usually an sti top mount is more than enough.

Wouldn't bother going FMIC on a wrx, you will need a built motor and plenty of supporting mods to make use of it.

I'm at 250kw/340hp on a standard STI top mount. That's close to maxing out.

Thanks guys

I managed to find a STI top mount from a 06 STI

Only thing is, it doesn't include the splitter

Do I need the STI splitter to make the most of it? STI scoop as well, or will the standard scoop flow ok?

I have a 2001 bug eye

Thanks

You will need both the splitter and scoop.

The STI scoop is about 25% than standard WRX so worth the upgrade.

Wreckers are the best bet. Or ebay.
