had supertech gear in my honda, copped a lot of abuse with zero issues.

Maybe go edit the posts about the valve being at fault daz. Since it was the bad tune that screwed you.

Wow not having a dig but I can’t the following two points:-
You didn’t have a run in tune done? I was limited to 4.5k rpm and 0.5 bar of boost for first 1000km? just as the action started rev cut stopped the party on the run in tune. And after being dissatisfied with the service of the previous tuner / workshop you rolled with their tune for the initial few thousand kms without putting it under heavy scrutiny? Seems a bit odd on a brand spankers motor you have had a heavy attention to detail on.

When you ASSUME, you make an ASS of U and ME. Unfortuantly a very hard lesson learned for Daz. As shit as the situation is, one positive outcome is, you can guarantee Daz will never let that happen again in any future builds.

I didn't need to have a tune for running in. Theoretically I could have ran the car on that tune after the running in period. Why? Because at the time it was a rebuild of what was already there. Same pistons, same heads, same cams, same turbo, same injectors so on and so forth. I'd limited RPM and boost on the ECU myself so it just didn't need a tune. As the pictures show though the PTV contact was happening long before I bought the car. Bram is right though it will never happen again and the tuner who tuned the car properly second time round will be doing it again. I'm having it retuned this time as I've changed pistons and now it will require a tune.

Just waiting on a few parts to turn up which will hopefully be on Monday and I can get this thing back together again.
Getting things ready. In other news once the Hawkeye is back together I'm starting on the full on race car build #RaceGC

I count 4 doors, not 2.

Yeah this shell was free. I'm not paying 20k plus for a 2 door that I'm going to tear to pieces. I was originally going to bring over the 2 door shell I have in the UK but I was presented with this and it was too good to pass up.
